My Thoughts
I've always wanted to learn Photography hence why this was a subject that I was looking forward to. I found myself struggling in the beginning to express myself creatively through my pictures but I think there's always room for me to improve. I'm very grateful however that I've gained so many skills such as Digital Literacy (TGC) where I now know how to use InDesign and actually learned how to create beautiful compositions, Intrapersonal Skills (TGC) as I reflect on my own creative direction and seeing what works best for me in edits and what doesn't, Interpersonal Skills (TGC) where I get inspired by my classmates works and how they communicate their thoughts to their images (Communication Skills TGC) and especially Thinking and Problem Skills whenever a vision or an idea doesn't come out the way I imagined it to be. Other than that, I'm also able to finally understand what makes a good image by having Discipline Specific Knowledge (TGC) and was able to come up a whole photography journal that I'm so proud of. The first assignments where I had to take photos using principles also helped me to develop Lifelong Learning (TGC) as I was able to understand and finally take good photos based on principles. Lastly, having such a relatable struggle for my last assignment helped me to develop Citizen and Global Perspectives (TGC) as I realized the similarity of perspectives revolving campus life. Overall, this course has definitely benefit me and I shall be practicing these skills over and over for my other modules. :)
